Ultrasound in Emergency Medicine & Critical Care:
An Intensive Hands-on Hybrid Course
Bedside ultrasound is rapidly being integrated into clinical care by emergency & critical care physicians but many physicians have not yet had access to training. Now as a special pre-session to Resuscitation 2010 you can learn sonography techniques to help improve patient care. Experience a first-class hands-on ultrasound course taught by the top ultrasound faculty from across the country. Collectively these faculty have instructed thousands of physicians and have been brought together to create this special hybrid course. In order to maximize your valuable time, you’ll be provided with videos of the didactic lectures in advance, to watch at home, so that you can move directly to hands-on scanning in Las Vegas.
Ultrasound in Emergency Medicine & Critical Care Hybrid Course assumes no prior knowledge and will start with the basics and proceed to advanced principles. Core topics include abdominal scanning (aorta, biliary tract, kidneys) echocardiography, trauma FAST exam, pelvic sonography and sonographic assisted procedures. You will have plenty of hands-on exposure with models to reinforce the lectures and special interventional phantoms will be used to practice needle-based techniques. The session will conclude with a question & answer round table discussion on the practical and political aspects of ultrasound integration at your hospital.
Mailed in advance, each participant will receive a
DVD (playable on computer) with the following:
- Digital video ultrasound lectures
- SoundBytes Ultrasound Teaching Cases
- Ultrasound Syllabus
Register by March 1st to receive your DVD before the course.
This course will be extremely limited in size to maintain maximum hands-on instruction so register early to guarantee your position. Register for the Ultrasound and Airway Combo for extra savings!
